We truly enjoyed our stay at the farm and we wish we could have spent more time with you and the animals. I’m sure that we will visit you again in the not too distant future. Seeing the piglets born was an amazing experience.

We really enjoyed our stay here, we only stayed one night but wished we could have extended our stay. The owner was lovely and we felt right at home, which when you've already been traveling for 3 weeks is fantastic!... - 96% Customer Rating

The guy who owns the place is a lot of fun. He'll happily show you around all his animals and try and sell you a pig. The bungalow is nice with good facilities. Definitely a good place to stay for those who like farms and the countryside... - 86% Customer Rating

I was so amazed with O'Donnell's Blue Star Hostel. It is a small place in the beautiful countryside. It felt like a home not a hostel. Located on a farm and we stayed in a brand new ,two story house. We had the whole place to ourselves. In the morning the owner (who was sooo kind and amazing) showed us around his farm and told us Irish folklores. We loved it here!... -

Michael was a lovely host, the bungalow is clean and comfortable, the pet farm is good fun. Only put average for location being as it was in the middle of nowhere which was fine for us as we had a car but if you didn't we imagine it would be hard to get to, however the views and peace & quiet are well worth it! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends... -

The farm with its traditional atmosphere and all the animals is really amazing. I would just love to have a farm like this in Holland!

Although our stay here was short, we had a great time staying here and visiting your lovely animals. The babies piglets are so sweet. We hope the birth of the other will go well…

Fairy Fort Farm is a experience like no other - a true taste of traditional Irish life. Michael's kindness and hospitality are unparalleled. He shared his beautiful country, culture and community (and Pippy, who cared for us and showed us around the property - introducing us to Pablo and the gang). A truly magical and inspiring experience for the Soul. Thanks for the adventure, Michael!

Our stay at fairy fort farm was really nice! The property is beautiful and it's so nice to hang out with the animals. Michael is a very friendly host. He took us to a fun night at a local pub where everyone is singing and making music! It's a good place to be in the countryside in a place with character!

This was the nicest place and Michael is such a nice person - we felt so welcome here. We loved to see and pet the animals. Our house/apartment was lovely with everything we needed - the nice feature was the fireplace. In Tipperary there are a lot of things to do and to see - we went to Cahir, Rock of Cashel, the "Vee", climbed the Devils Bit and drove to Kilkenny. @Michael:we loved the jam sessions and the BBQ!!!

We were a family of 3 doing a road trip of Ireland and our stay in Michael's cottage was great! Very quiet and relaxing and the animals were a great addition to the stay. Michael was a great host as well as helpful with any information we needed, and flexible with us extending our stay, after we got arrived! Thanks for a great relaxing experience, I hope we get a chance to visit again some day.

Have no words to describe how fantastic was our stay. Michel welcom us at the cottage and from the first moment we felt there as at home. All the time ready to help you with any matter. His knowledge about area and it's history just unbeliveable. My 2 daughters felt in love with Pippi (dog)and Pablo(pig) and other animals on the farm. We fed them every morning and have to say that Pippi help our daughter to go through the fear of the dogs.

There was someone to meet us upon arrival to show us around. The beds were made for us and the cottage was clean. There were lots and lots of animals on the farm, with ducks and chickens wandering freely around the place. Definitely bring your wellies! The kids really enjoyed visiting the animals and collecting blackberries on the road.

Michael is an absolutely wonderful host that is always willing to help his visitors. He willingly picked us up from the train station upon our arrival and saw us off as well. Michael is a happy soul overflowing with knowledge. Dhia and I thoroughly enjoyed our time chatting about various topics with him over coffee and tea. We would highly recommend taking part in the local traditional music sessions that Michael suggests as well, Jim of the Mills was one of the major highlights of our trip! Additionally, take the time to absorb the sweet little town of Borrisoleigh and all of its hidden gems, you won't be disappointed! The Bothy, a community run cafe, has some of the friendliest staff and displays local artists, we became regulars here throughout the week! Also don't miss out on viewing the beautiful night skies, I don't know if I've ever been able to see more stars than I did from Fairy Fort Farm. Getting to know Micheal has been one of our favorite experiences thus far.

Michael met us at the cottage even though we were early. He was extremely helpful with his suggestions and recommendations for places to go. The place was wonderful. It was peaceful and serene. My kids absolutely loved the Fairy Fort Farm down the road with the animals. Every morning we walked up to give Pablo our scraps. We were greeting by Pippy, his dog. She followed us around the farm. I would love to have stayed here our whole vacation! If we ever have the chance to return to Ireland, we will definitely stay here again. What an incredible start to our first visit to Ireland.

Michael couldn't have been a better host. He was always willing to help, even driving us in and out of town, and gave us plenty of space unless we sought him out. Michael is a great fella, full of interesting stories and his dog, Pippy, was a joy to have around. The animals on the farm are well cared for and very calm interacting with strangers. The people all around the local area are also incredibly friendly. Couldn't have been happier with this place for a little get away in Ireland!

Michael was so helpful, friendly and welcoming, and Fairy Fort Farm was such a beautiful spot! our group of 30+ stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time - the farm is a very short walk from Borrisoleigh and a short drive to larger towns such as Thurles and Nenagh which makes it an ideal base to explore Tipperary. The farm itself was gorgeous and had absolutely loads to do, from feeding the farmyard animals to an evening campfire. Would 100% recommend Fairy Fort Farm for groups of all sizes and ages!

We had a lovely time, all the kids loved the idea of being able to sleep in the same room, they loved being able to interact with the animals on the farm, which was great as they all had so many questions afterwards so it was a learning experience for them as we'll. They loved the trail walk. Michael couldn't have being more helpful, such a lovely man. The house was lovely and was just what we were looking for our short stay. Would love to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at fairy fort farm, especially meeting the animals (note this is between around 10am and 5pm). Good location for driving to Cahir and Cashel. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, plates etc. However, there was no washing machine as advertised - instead Michael advised going to the local laundrette. There is a Chinese and off licence in the village and we had a great meal in nearby Thurles.

Michael's son greeted us. The house was neat but a bit hard to find as the signage described in the airbnb directions did not exist or was very hard to see. The farm with animals is up the road a ways verses with the house. our kids enjoyed seeing the animals but the new dog that growled at the children and I detered us from visiting the animals more frequently.

We had a very magical experience at Fairie Fort Farm. The place exceeded all our expectations and Michael was the perfect host and made us feel extremely welcome. He even went so far as to cook us some of his home grown potatoes on the Sunday and then we had a great sing song. Fairie Fort Farm is a very unique experience and we will return time and time again whilst traveling in Ireland. Mad Dog Mcrea (band)
